Amadeus is a multi-award winning venue caterer, operating at venues including its home sites; the NEC, ICC, Arena Birmingham and Genting Arena. Recently we have extended our portfolio and we are now operating at Compton Verney Art Gallery, House and Gardens.
We are looking to recruit a Deputy Head Chef who enjoys delivering first class food and will cater for the daily café operation as well as a wide range of hospitality events, conferences and weddings.
Your role will be predominately based at Compton Verney in Warwickshire, however at times you may be required to work at the groups other venues and events.
Reporting to the Head Chef, your main duties will include the assisting in planning and preparation of all types of food. You will be required to support the delivery of a wide range of food and concepts to a set specification and standards, ensuring that all hygiene and health & safety compliance are being adhered to. At times you may be required to run basic food offering or Concept.
As part of this role you will assist the Head Chef with various aspects of kitchen management, which includes; business control, food cost, stocktake and wastage control.
As an individual, ideally you will have 4 years' experience working within a busy kitchen in a similar quality establishment and hold NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in food preparation and cooking, be qualified to Level II in Food Safety (or be willing to undertake training to obtain) and have the willingness to learn new skills, which includes the Group's IT systems and be able to develop within the experienced culinary team.
Team work, good time management and having a flexible approach to work in a 7 day week operation is essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional customer service.
This position is ideal for a forward thinking chef who wishes to increase their knowledge of food and progress his/her career within Amadeus. Previous experience is essential.
