About the role:

The Lead IT Business Analyst role is a highly collaborative role which requires engagement with our project teams and business stakeholders to deliver business information of high quality and integrity which supports our overall business goals. 

You will provide leadership and direction through demonstration of business analysis skills across the Group, creating and maintain toolkits, processes and procedures contributing to successful delivery of change initiatives.

The core purpose of the role is to drive the identification, challenge and capture of requirements, provide business case support, and perform feasibility studies, identifying efficiency and effectiveness improvements in working practices as part of project delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Leadership of the IT Business Analysis capabilities within the group, ensuring standards, associated processes and procedures are adhered to, whilst delivering to a high level of customer / senior stakeholder satisfaction.
• Develop and evolve the IT Business Analysis capabilities and working practice within the group
• Provide thought leadership in requirements management for the NEC Group to maintain a supported and serviceable estate.
• Capture and analyse strategic needs, challenges and opportunities in the form of traditional requirements or user stories, including prioritisation using an associated methodology, e.g. MOSCOW.
• Support the production of business cases to support proposed processes/solutions
• Designs processes in the form of current (As – is) and future (To – Be) via facilitation of workshops with business representatives, including gap analysis, identifying areas for improvement, recommending and implementing new ways of working within business functions.
• Identifies the impact of new solutions and processes on the wider organisation and contribute to the delivery of business change through partnership with our change management function
• Contribute to the impact analysis of project change requests on process, agreed objectives and benefit cases
• Assist in the analysis and delivery of customers’ acceptance test plans and results in partnership with the test management team ensuring requirements are being met.

Core skills that we are looking for:

• Strong supplier management skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Strong analytical mindset
• Experience of change management and business impact analysis is essential
• Demonstrable experience in structured BA techniques and methods including process mapping using an associated mapping tool e.g. Microsoft Visio
• Able to relate operational needs to technical capability

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) – OR - 5+ years professional work experience
• ISEB Business Analysis Diploma is advantageous
• BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent (ISEB) is advantageous
