PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To develop the two Starbucks licensed stores at the NEC on a day-to-day basis ensuring designated operational areas are run professionally, efficiently and within budgetary guidelines, delivering the Starbucks experience on a daily basis, meeting and exceeding visitor expectation whilst supervising and developing partners. Accountable to comply with Company policies and procedures as well as conforming to Starbucks guiding principles.
Strategically plan all Starbucks activity within the N.E.C. Site.
Plan, develop and maintain skill level to operate the Starbucks licensed store.
Plan Starbucks Catering around the business need.
Complete accurate forecasting and reporting of financial data in accordance with set deadlines,
consulting as necessary with the Starbucks Catering Manager and Catering Operations Manager with
suggestions to improve profitability of area.
Accountable for ensuring both Starbucks and N.E.C. Group company standards and legal requirements
are complied with in relation to Food Safety / Health and Hygiene / Health & Safety / RIDDOR.
Proactively manage resources and take appropriate action to changes in the business
Ensure staff are trained in all aspects of the role - able to recognise training requirements and offer 'hands
on' approach when required.
Implement, monitor and oversee delivery of all Starbucks brand standards, meeting and exceeding
Provide effective complaint handling in accordance with standards by investigating complaints, liaising
with customers and colleagues to determine necessary action.
Demonstrate high leadership skills thereby providing the basis for high group morale and colleague
Allocate duties and responsibilities to all team members.
Ensure that all pre-booked goods and services are carefully noted and delivered to the customer's
Control the temporary labour budget.
Organise Starbucks seasonal promotional and offers in line with brand standards.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Has at least 2 years Starbucks management experience, able to train Baristas, shift leaders and
Recognised Starbucks trainer qualifications desirable.
CIEH Intermediate Hygiene Certificate and IOSHH qualified preferred.
Computer Literate and able to operate Amadeus business systems and be familiar with Starbucks
Proven ability to work under pressure with excellent customer service skills and an eye for "attention to
Numerate & literate with good verbal & written communication skills.
