NO OF DIRECT REPORTS:
Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post holder will be expected to perform other such duties that are reasonably comparable. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Oversee the delivery of the OCS contract for all security and traffic related activities for the NEC Group to ensure delivery of a safe and secure, customer friendly environment for all NEC Group staff, organisers, promotors, exhibitors and visitors.
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager
? Planning and delivery
o Monitor the planning, coordination and service provision of security and traffic activities taking place within the venues.
o Ensure OCS deliver customer service in line with the NEC Group values and standards.
? Financial Delivery
o Audit financial compliance in line with the OCS contracts.
o Actively seek new business opportunities creating maximum revenue opportunities.
? Account Management and Administration
o Develop and maintain systems to support the Performance Management System (PMS) to report and audit the security and traffic service delivery in compliance with the contract requirements.
o Monitor all training to ensure compliance with appropriate standards and review training records on a minimum of an annual basis.
? Client Liaison
o Undertake client meetings as appropriate to confirm and establish customer needs, deadlines and details of any special requirements.
o Provide both internal and external clients with written quotations of any special security and traffic requirements that are outside of any contractual arrangements.
o Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication.
o Maintain a professional working relationship with local police and counter terrorism advisors.
o Ensure OCS maintain compliance with all relevant legal and statutory requirements eg Working Time Directive, Security Industry Authority (SIA).
o Carry out audits to ensure security provision of vetted and trained temporary staff to meet contract obligations to BS 7499 & BS7858 standards are maintained and document results.
o Verify all security and traffic risk assessments, SsoW and method statements
are undertaken and appropriate measures taken to ensure compliance.
o Verify and approve all special projects contractors eg Detection dogs.
o The role is subject to the PCI (Payment Cards Industry) compliance and validation regulations and has been identified as a Medium Risk level 2 category and subject to a financial check, therefore to commence this role, satisfactory checks consisting of a credit check of information on the public record such as court proceedings, County Court Judgments (CCJs) and bankruptcy filings etc. need to have been completed and reviewed every subsequent 3 years.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
? Experience of security service contract management.
? SIA Licence (preferable but not essential).
? IOSH qualified.
? Educated to A Level standard.
? Good IT skills.
? Client focus and understanding of expectations within a demanding client environment.
? Confident in a demanding and fast changing security operation.
? Self starter capable of working on own initiative.
? Flexible approach to work in a 24/7 environment
? Positive approach to problem solving.
